  * A 'repeater' or 'translator' is a second transmitter that is usually installed in remote areas where the main signal from an FM broadcast station may not be able to reach. The FT-1 (used as a repeater/translator demodulator) receives the main signal and hands it off to the first stage of the remote transmitter. The FT-1 has already proven itself as an accurate, highly reliable demodulator that can provide consistent service under very severe conditions.
